I am a Toronto-based portrait and location photographer. We all know that photography has changed a lot in the last 10 years--so many cameras! (did we ever think there would be a phone that could take a photo and then send it off in 2 seconds across the world?); and so many subjects that were never thought worthy before (does anyone remember a family album snap of an egg-salad sandwich?); but here we all are snapping away at whatever crosses our path or falls into our laps, be it an elephant on safari or a fry from a road-side food truck. Additionally, because of the ubiquity and ease of digital photography, we all have hundreds if not thousands of snapshots that hold our interest for a moment or two and then are filed away, forgotten or lost altogether. This is where I come in. A professional portrait of a landscape, an interior or a figure is something much more considered. It is a statement about what you have accomplished or a reflection of a key moment in your life. The thing that has never changed about good photography is that it is a treasured record of something important, something you don't want to lose. Not everyone knows how to deliver this important record properly. I do.
I am a photographic artist, trained at the Ontario College of Art and Design in the Thesis Photography Program. Whether you want your portrait taken at home surrounded by the things you love, or you need a commercial headshot that will express your personality and individual energy, or you have an interior that needs to be seen, or you are a chef who wants to communicate taste and skill with a delicious looking image, I guarantee you'll love the photograph that I make for you.
